Since its inception in 1998, LENSEC has been at the forefront of transforming physical security through innovative video surveillance solutions. We began as a trailblazer in networked video systems, developing the industry’s first browser-based video management software.

By 2010, LENSEC had evolved into a global leader in video management, unveiling Perspective VMS®, our flagship platform designed for comprehensive, browser-based control.

In 2017, we refined our solution, paving the way for a major technological leap with the release of Perspective VMS® version 3.0, the industry’s first fully feature-rich video management software built exclusively on HTML5. This upgrade eliminated legacy plugins, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and superior performance. Simultaneously, we integrated advanced video analytics, enriching Perspective VMS® with capabilities for real-time threat detection and intelligent insights, transforming it from a monitoring tool into a proactive security ecosystem.

Today, LENSEC continues to innovate, expanding product capabilities to become an Integrated Physical Security Platform that connect all security systems into a single unified platform.

LENSEC was founded in 1998 as Progressive Systems LLC.

In the late 1990’s Progressive Systems began as a custom solutions provider of networked video surveillance. As a pioneer in browser-based video management, Progressive Systems was able to lead the physical security industry in the transition from analog-based cameras to devices communicating over an IP or network architecture. Throughout the beginning of the 21st century, LENSEC has worked with municipalities, schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure facilities by installing and monitoring tens of thousands of cameras in over 30 states.

Once again, LENSEC has taken the lead in the security industry as a pioneer of the smart-client video management platform, Perspective VMS®. PVMS is the first HTML5 video management software for IP security video. We continue to break ground and forge the way for the physical security industry.
