Perspective VMS® Offers Optional Embedded Video Analytics Suite With Advanced Capabilities
Video analytics for video surveillance provide advanced intelligence for your security footprint. Analytics use mathematical algorithms to evaluate digital video based on previously defined parameters. These tools allow users to receive alerts based on intelligent analysis of digital video evidence. Use of video analytics improves confidence in monitoring events and reduces false alarms.
Many video analytics options are available, including intrusion detection, left or stolen object detection, vehicle speed, direction of traffic, occupancy rate, and much more. Embedded video analytics are available as an optional per camera add-on to Perspective VMS®. Analytics are available à la carte or as a bundled package.
Perspective VMS® operates using multiple services and databases running on server hardware in a network environment. Depending on deployment parameters, additional servers and infrastructure may be required to accommodate the processing power and databases necessary to accomplish a complex network running advanced video analytics.

Here are a few key highlights that stand out among the available video analytics.
The Automatic License Plate Recognition Video Analytic provides a great capability to capture license plate detail and compare it with a database of license plates.
This is a valuable tool for law enforcement, security operations, parking services, and more. Operators can monitor vehicle activity and make decisions with better knowledge about real-time activity using metadata captured from license plate information. Also, the LP numbers can be compared to a database and logged into activity reports for future reference.
The Facial Recognition Video Analytic provides a great capability to capture face detail and compare it with a database of images of known people.
This valuable tool is used in schools, business, secure areas, and more. Operators can monitor activity live or upon notification, making decisions with based on reportable metadata. An operator can authorize or deny access based on data captured in real-time or based on PVMS Analytics Reports showing history of facial recognition data.
